The development will consist of a careful restoration of the First Message Building for museum / community use. (Protected Structure RPS-KY-698), the essential consolidation / repair to other derelict Slate Yard buildings (Protected Structure RPS-KY-697), the construction of a new Gateway / Visitor Discovery Building for tourism use, the landscaping of the ‘visual corridor’ connecting the Slate Yard to the Promenade including the construction of a ramped access, the reinstatement of the funnel of the historic chimney, the provision of car parking, and all associated site works
