Project scope

1) continued use of the existing permitted quarry (planning file ref. no. 04/1356 & ABP PL23.221792) which includes: a block manufacturing facility; a ready-mix concrete plant; a garage and maintenance facility; office facilities; ESB substation; other ancillary plant and infrastructure; 2) the deepening of the existing quarry floor to a finished level of 60 metres above ordnance datum (mOD), remaining entirely within the existing permitted quarry footprint. All within an application area of approximately 36 hectares and for a total period of 34 years (the extraction operational period is for 32 years and a further 2 years for site restoration). The application is accompanied by an Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR)
