Project scope

a period of 10 years for the construction and operation of a biogas renewable energy facility comprising of 2 no. primary anaerobic digesters (height c. 18.5m); 1 no. secondary digester/storage tank (dome height c. 16.5m); 1 no. digestate storage tank (dome height c. 16.5m); 2 no. manure reception tanks (dome height c. 12m); 1 no. desulphurisation unit (Ground Floor Area (GFA) c.13m2, height c.3.3m), 1 small tank (height c. 3.2m) and 2 larger tanks (height c 9.8m & c 11.8m); 2 no. pasteurization tanks (height c. 5.6m) and 2 no. cooling tanks (height c. 5.6m); 1 no. external Solid Input Device (SID); 1 no. pump room (GFA 300m2, height 3.1m); these components will be located within a containment bund (height c. 1.5m). The proposed development will also consist of: 1 no. feedstock reception hall (GFA 1,800m2, height c.15m) with air filtration unit (stack height c. 20.5m), 1 no. underground mixing tank (diameter c.16m, height c. 4m), 1 no. SID, offices, and workshop; 5 no. silage clamps (GFA 8,640m2, height c. 5m); 1 no. storage shed (GFA 228m2, height c. 5m); 1 no. rainwater harvesting tank (height c. 6m); 1 no. fire water storage tank (height c. 5.5m); 1 no. plant room (GFA c. 90m2, height c. 5.3m); 2 no. CHP units and chillers (GFA 44m2 each, maximum height c.7.5m to flue); 1 no. bunded biofuel tank (length c. 6.2m, height c. 2.3m); and diesel tank (length c. 4m, height 2.5m); 1 no. dewatering storage building (GFA c. 263m2, height c. 5.5m) with air filtration unit (stack height c. 9.5m); 1 no. ESB substation building (GFA c. 65m2, height c. 3.8m); 1 no. biomethane upgrade unit (GFA c. 235m2; height c. 13.2m); 1 no. carbon dioxide capture unit (GFA c. 885m2, height c. 16.7m); 1 no. two storey admin building containing offices, laboratories, and welfare facilities (GFA 228m2, height c. 8.2m); 1 no LPG compound (GFA 98m2) with bunded wall (height c. 2.5m) containing 2 no. propane tanks (diameter c. 1.5m, length c. 4.8m); 1 no. emergency flare (height c. 7.7m); 1 no. Gas Networks Ireland (‘GNI’) compound (‘Biomethane Network Entry Facility’) kiosk (GFA c. 24m2, height c. 5.1m (antenna)); firewater retention pond (c. 1,750m3); Infiltration Basin (c. 2300m3); underground silage clamp tank, (c. 3,725m3), boundary treatments and ancillary works that will include: tree felling to facilitate construction and operation of the proposed development; new site entrance off the L94451, security gates
