Demolition and redevelopment

Project scope

Permission for development consisting of: the demolition of 5 no. outbuildings, fire safety upgrades to existing school block and the construction of: (i) a single storey, 21 Classroom extension to the West Gable of the existing school block to include: 5 SEN Classrooms, admin offices, GP hall and associated ancillary spaces, along with, (ii) a standalone PE hall and changing block, (iii) sporting facilities and ball courts, (iv) a separate single story, 9 Classroom school building to the west of the site to accommodate the relocation of Gaelscoil de Híde to include: 1 SEN Classroom, admin offices, GP hall and associated ancillary spaces, (v) alterations to the existing junction of Thornfield Drive and St. Theresa’s Road, (vi) the provision of new vehicular and pedestrian access with revised parking and set down, (vii) upgrade works to existing site exit (viii) the removal of 10 no. prefabricated classrooms once (i) – (vii) of above have been completed, together with all associated site works at
