Project scope

permission for the re-construction and configuration of in-stream stone structures, which are already in-situ and includes the loosening of existing spawning gravels. Natural materials that are already in the river will be sufficient to complete the works. Works will be conducted at intermittent locations along a total river length of 1.5km. The purpose of these works is to improve breeding conditions, and general habitat, for Atlantic salmon and wild brown trout stocks. A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) has been prepared and will be submitted to the Planning Authority with the application
