Project scope

the development of a Patrickswell Sports and Community Campus consisting of the removal of the existing multi-use games area, existing soccer pitch and security fencing to the soccer pitch, the construction of 1 no all weather synthetic GAA pitch, 1 no all weather synthetic Soccer pitch, a new multi-use games area, a basketball court and a single storey Pavilion Building, measuring 350 sq. metres consisting of dressing rooms, a referees room, public toilets, meeting room space, team room/ shop area, store room and plant room, provision of ball stop netting, perimeter spectator fencing to the GAA and Soccer pitches and an illuminated pedestrian walkway to perimeter of the pitches, development of a basketball court, MUGA pitch, new playgrounds, natural play areas, outdoor exercise equipment, boules court, ping pong table, seating, bicycle parking, footpaths, cycleways and public lighting, provision of a car park to include, a bus set down area, electric vehicle (EV) parking and disability parking, new access and exits into the new car parking from the existing roadway, proposed on-site surface water drainage arrangements incorporating SUDS measures and connection to existing storm sewer network, proposed connections to sewer network and existing mains water infrastructure, together with all associated site works and services, provision of extensive planting and landscaping including, extensive buffer planting along the western boundary with native trees as well as naturalised species, biodiversity rich semi natural grasslands created by natural re-colonisation, extensive mature tree planting, native hedgerow planting, pollinator planting and mounding
