Project scope

the construction of a new railway station incorporating (1) a single 174m long and 5m wide single-face operational platform on the southside of the existing railway line and adjacent to the Corpus Christi Primary School, (2) the platform will incorporate lighting, CCTV, ticket vending machines, railings, seatings, shelters, driver operating monitors, public address, customer information signs, directional and station signage, (3) a Telecoms Equipment Room (TER) building to accommodate communication, mechanical and electrical equipment for the station, (4) 2no. new entrances / exits, one at each platform end. There will be a shared vehicular and pedestrian access with stairs from Sarsfield Gardens, for maintenance vehicles only, with 2no. parking spaces available directly adjacent to the TER building. Pedestrian access to the western end of the platform will be via the Millenium Park, where the existing park entrance will be enhanced and the paths leading to the station widened, (5) 2no. bicycle shelters located at the accesses point off Sarsfield Gardens and inside the Millenium Park, and (6) all other associated site and development works.
